This photovoltaic installation with an installed power of 32.57 kWp is located on the roof of the La Luisiana cogeneration plant (Seville). It stands out for being the first of its kind within the energy assets of Grupo Neoelectra, in addition to marking the beginning of the renewable reconversion of its facilities.

The La Luisiana photovoltaic plant was born in the midst of a pandemic and managed to connect to the grid on March 10, 2021, to start supplying renewable electricity.

Grupo Neoelectra plans to install 20 MW of photovoltaic energy for self-consumption in all its cogeneration plants in Spain over the next 2 years. The projects are being executed by Neoelectra Green, as a business strategy focused on renewable energies to promote the energy transition of the Group’s own energy assets and of industrial clients with needs for reconversion and sustainable energy efficiency.

It should be noted that the Neoelectra La Luisiana cogeneration plant, on which the photovoltaic panels are installed, supplies electricity to the grid, thermal energy and water to its industrial client for the production of olive oil since the year 2000.
